Kivalliq Energy has been actively exploring for Uranium in Nunavut Territory, Canada since 2008. Kivalliq has proven the ‘District Scale Potential’ of the Angilak Property in Nunavut through the discovery of numerous high priority zones including the Lac 50 Trend. This trend has an Inferred Resource of 43.3 million lbs @ 0.69% U3O8, northern Canada’s highest grade uranium deposit.
In order to increase exposure to high-quality uranium assets, in October 2013, Kivalliq acquired the Baker Basin Uranium Property, also in Nunavut Territory. Kivalliq has extensive northern exploration experience and an award winning environmental track record in the Territory which provides a competitive advantage to rapidly advance these properties. Recently, Kivalliq diversified its project portfolio through the staking of the Genesis Property and acquiring the Hatchet Lake Property in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The current uranium spot pricing environment continues to present excellent opportunities to increase Kivalliq’s exposure to, and ownership of, high quality uranium projects. Our goal is to complement Kivalliq’s existing resource base at Angilak and exploration potential at Baker Basin, by employing our team’s considerable northern exploration and Saskatchewan uranium experience to make significant discoveries at the Genesis Property.
